Eagles are completely awesome, and super badass. We love the American eagle, and celebrate it’s majesty today. The eagle was adopted as a symbol of sovereignty on June 20, 1782 by the Second Continental Congress. Suggestions for the eagle came from by Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin.
So glad it wasn’t something stupid, like a sloth, or an ostrich.
